Who are we?

We are Tom and Emily and live with our baby boy, Freddie, in Cambridge, UK. When we’re not changing nappies, working, or desperately trying to get Freddie to nap, we spend our time making things and getting out and about.

Why blog?

We were pretty active on Flickr for a long time, and blogging seemed a natural extension of this. Fast forward 4 years, and we love having an online diary of things we’ve done and places we’ve been. We’ve also met some lovely people and made some really good friends, which seems like a pretty good reason to continue….

Why is the blog called Ice and Earth?

We’ve had various online guises over the years, almost all of which have been connected to foxes and polar bears in some way. There is a reason for this, but it sounds pretty strange to those who don’t know us. Actually it sounds pretty strange to those that do, too…. but it all stems from a couple of our favourite furry critters, who have been in our relationship almost as long as we have.
